Are you a texter or a caller? I know that this subject has probably already been discussed before on the net. I would just like to know why so many people are now texting instead of using the old fashion telephone call. Now, is it so hard to pick up the phone and punch in a few numbers? I don't think so. I like to hear the voices of people who want to chat with me. I can hear in their voices whether they are cheerful, sad or angered. These expressions are not easy to distinguish in a text. I have found that you have to ask several more questions to find out the emotion of the person you are talking with. Unless, they attach a text abbreviation. Abbr. If you are a person not familiar with the texting abbrevations. Then getting familiar with them will help you, when you are attempting to text. Texting is not for everyone and some of us, just enjoy a good chat on the telephone. When you need to know something right away are you taking up time texting? Then after the text is sent, you will have to wait for a reply to see if that person will text you back. I think if you pick up the phone it will be a lot faster and you can know whether that person is there to respond to you.
I feel that there are times when you shouldn't text. You shouldn't text when you are asking someone something personal and it's very important. You shouldn't text if you are asking someone on a date or if they will want to date further. You shouldn't text when you are late for a appointment or your job. You shouldn't text for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries ect. You shouldn't be texting while trying to drive your car, bicycle or scooter. This is a No No and No! This is only my opinion on texting, and I'm sure others have opinions, on why they feel the need to text all time. I'm sure that there is some reason for it and I can accept those differences.
Texting to me, gives the impression that you are too busy, to be personable and sociable. This comes to my mind when I think of texting. Everything is so fast paced these days and we are all busy in our lives. However, it does not take that long to handle things on the phone when necessary. The trouble with people now, is that they don't care anymore about how people feel on the receiving end of text. I on the other hand, love to hear the voices of people most of the time. I love to hear whether you are sad or funny, laughing or crying. It doesn't matter. It's a connection that can't be replaced with texting. So, I'm saying.... pick up the phone, call your family, friends and someone you care about. I'm sure they would just love to hear your lovely voice. (smile)

Hmmm. I like texting. Or, actually, IM's or email. When I call people I usually hope I get voice mail so I won't have to actually talk to them... ;-)
No, actually, there are some people I'd rather talk to, but often it's easier for me to write.
